2009: New Hall. New Class
From Monday 5th January 2009, the Carterton classes will have a new venue and a new Thursday class. The opening of the Carterton Community Center on Shilton Park has meant that Jazzercise can move to a bigger venue on a Monday night and open a new class as part of it's schedule on a Thursday night. However, for those of you who find Edith Moorhouse Primary School more convenient, the Wednesday evening class at 6.30pm will still be on the schedule.

It's a Boy!!!
The bump that has been Jazzercising with you for the last nine months has arrived! Freddie Joe arrived at 6.45am on Wednesday 5th November three days early (much to Mummy's surprise especially as she still taught class on the Tuesday evening!!) and weighed a healthy 8lb. Photos now in the gallery.
National Charity Workout 2009:
It was announced at the Jazzercise Instructors conference that the National Charity workout for Great Ormand Street Hospital (GOSH) has now been booked and confirmed for Sunday June 14th, 2009.. This is going to be the BIGGEST event in UK Jazzercise history. The last such event took place in 1992 at the NEC in Birmingham, 1500 participants took part raising over £60,000 for the MacMillan Nurse Appeal. The event will be taking place at:
Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61, Meridian Way, Picketts Lock, London N9 0AR
The facility is just one year old and is the largest indoor athletic centre in the UK and can hold up to 3,000. Listen out for announcements in class as to how you can join in the fun!
Jazzercise "Rock Da Party" at Relay for LIfe
With pumping hits like Boogie 2 Nite and Rock Da Party the West Oxfordshire Jazzercise team opened the first ever Relay for Life in Oxfordshire. This hugely successful event has already raised over £52,000 for Cancer Research UK and is set to raise even more. It was a real honour to have been asked to be the opening act and warm up all the participants and come back on the Sunday to stretch out their tired muscles after 24 hours of walking. We are all particularly proud of all the Jazzercisers who took part and especially Elaine, who not only did the warm up and the stretch class on stage with us, but also took part in one of the teams. Check out the gallery for the photographs of the event. More to be added soon! Congratulations to everyone.
